We told everybody about our trip to the world museum in Liverpool.
First, we went into The Great Port Gallery which outlined how Liverpool became one of the world's great ports and how this shaped the city of today!
We explored the trade goods wall and identified samples of imports and exports to and from Liverpool.
Then we worked in groups investigating the trade in cotton, tea, sugar, salt and tobacco. We discussed when goods were first traded in Liverpool, where they came from and what would have happened to the goods after they came to the docks?
The geographic location of each trade good was then identified on a world map on an interactive whiteboard.
