Phoenix Primary School is an IQM Flagship School! 

We are delighted to share that following our assessment in July 2025, Phoenix Primary has been recognised as a Flagship School by the Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM).

This is a very special achievement – only a small number of schools nationally are awarded Flagship Status. It celebrates our strong, inclusive culture where every child is supported, valued and empowered to thrive.

The report praised our caring relationships (described as “Phoenix’s superpower”), our commitment to wellbeing through approaches like THRIVE and Zones of Regulation, and the positive impact of our OPAL play project, which has transformed lunchtimes into joyful, creative and inclusive experiences.

Being recognised as a Flagship School means we not only celebrate the difference inclusion makes for our own children and families, but also share our good practice with schools across the country. Most importantly, it reflects what makes Phoenix such a special place – a community where every child can rise to the challenge and shine.
