About Us
Welcome to Phoenix Primary School. Our mission statement is:
‘where we rise to the challenge’ – a mission we live out on a daily basis!
Located in the vibrant city of Liverpool, Phoenix Primary is a thriving one-form entry school with a nursery and an Enhanced Provision. A flourishing hub of diversity and cultural richness, our school community has a dynamic atmosphere, reflecting the fusion of traditions, languages, and perspectives that contribute to a unique and inclusive learning environment. Cultural celebrations and events are woven into the academic calendar, fostering a sense of unity and understanding among students.
At Phoenix Primary School, everyone is welcome. We are inclusive educators and believe that every child deserves to be in a school where they can be the best version of themselves, and are nurtured to become remarkable young people, who feel valued and empowered. This is reflected in our Inclusion Quality Mark Gold Award.
At Phoenix, we are passionate about a high-quality education for all children, so that every child can thrive. To this end, we use a Thrive Approach - a trauma-sensitive, developmental, therapeutic technique to help support children with their social and emotional development. It is a whole school strategy based around models of child development and current studies of effective learning to help schools to understand children's needs as shown by their behaviour. Thrive supports children's social and emotional growth by creating positive relationships between a child, their peers and the adults at school, and helps them understand and analyse their feelings with the help of various activities.
Phoenix are proud to be at the heart of Fairfield community. We work closely with our local primary schools, secondary schools, charity bodies, health agencies, community hubs, local places of worship and sporting clubs to ensure that we provide a meaningful offer to our families.
We believe that education is a shared responsibility, and we encourage parents and carers to be actively involved in their child's education. We offer a range of opportunities for parent and carer involvement, including parent-teacher meetings, school 'showcase' events, volunteer opportunities, coffee mornings, parent nurture groups, concerts, performances and other events throughout the year.
We hope that you enjoy learning more about our school through our website. If you do have any questions or would like to arrange a visit, please contact the school office through our 'contact us' page.
