Children's Work
Art week 7/9/20
Throughout the week Year 2 have been focusing on working with different textures. As a class we decided to create a number of things such as butterflies and flowers using different textures such as tissue paper, sand and feathers.
Sparkles and Spells week 2/11/20.
During this week we have focused on 'The Witches' poem by Macbeth. Throughout the week we have rehearsed and innovated the poem, whilst also crafting our new disgusting ingredients out of clay as well.

Rememberance day 11/11/20.
Today we remembered all of the soldiers who risked their life and unfortunately died in WW1. Throughout the day we learnt the song 'The White Cliffs of Dover' and included our own actions, we then picked our favorite lines in the song and produced a painting of them. In the afternoon we designed and created our very own wreaths in memory of some of the soldiers who lost their lives in the war who were from Liverpool.

We created our very own feelings tree, to discuss our thoughts and feelings of our class text 'The Tin Forest'.
We are currently reading 'The Great Kapok Tree', this book focuses on the devastating impacts on rain forests and all that live there. We were able to create posters to inform people of deforestation. Within our posters we were able to explain how habitats are being destroyed and how there will be less oxygen on our planet if we continue to chop down trees,

We have been really enjoying learning about more than and less than. We can now correctly use all of our symbols.
We have been using resources such as the numicon and base 10 to help us with our addition and subtraction.

We have been focusing this term on Judaism. Here we have explored the many ways Jewish people celebrate their religion such as the Sabbath and Hanukkah. We have discovered how important the Mezuzah is to Jewish homes and decided to create one ourselves.
