The curriculum we are delivering is based on the need to expose all our children to a curriculum that is real, relevant and inspirational. It is aimed at giving children the opportunity to lead their own learning by following their own lines of enquiry by asking questions and finding out the answers. Our curriculum (and the wider curriculum we provide) aims to inspire children to become life-long learners.
Through cross-curriculuar work we look at real issues that are relevant to the world around us.
Enrichment activities are a very important part of our curriculum. Examples of this is a whole school visit to Narnia Experience with follow up work in school, weekly Ukulele lessons, visit to Crosby beach and workshops at LFC.
Philosophy for Children (P4C) has cognitive and social benefits for all children and encourages them to follow a line of enquiry and are encouraged to think and reason as a group.
Talk for Writing allows all the children to join in with reading parts of text by using words, visual cues and actions.
Cross-curricular lessons to highlight diversity and issues in the world.
